In general, he has experienced good health, and is active, though chubby (12.8 pounds). He lives with two female cats, one older and one much younger. They all eat a high quality dry food, for “sensetive skin,” and are much-loved indoor cats.

I know the usual answers (chemotherapy, vet-precribed medication), but was hoping that pet lovers might have some other ideas, foods or supplements he could injest, homeopathic remedies, medical therapies that have worked for pets you know, specific medications that worked wonders for your “baby,” etc.

So, i bought this powder stuff at the pet store. Its Calcium powder supplement with vitamins, by T-Rex. It’s called 2:0, calcium with no phosphorus. It said if my lizard eats bug, then i needed this type.

Well, im a little confused. It says if i dont give them enough, or if i give them too much , it could be deadly? But i dont know how much to give them. It just says to give it to them 1 time a day. How mcuh though?

He has a light over his cage. I got a incandescent light, thats what i was told to get. Its 60 watts.

The pet stores I have visited carry Actipet, Nupro Joint Support and NaturVet. Any comments on these brands?

I was so happy to hear that dogs can be vegetarian because it did not seem compassionate to save one animal by killing hundreds of others.

I’d be interested to hear the other opinions of other vegetarians.

Oh, word of caution, before you put your cat on a vegetarian diet you’ll have to supplement with tyrosine else they’ll go blind. In essence most pets can be feed a vegetarian diet with some constraints.
Here’s where I buy my vegetarian dog food. My dog who is a Husky loves it and is doing just fine.

I have a 2 month old pet Rooster who was born healthy. After about 2 weeks of life he began to slowly develop a problem using his legs. I took him to the vet and she gave me supplements for him and suggested putting him in a sling so he would stand in the normal position and build muscle.

He is starting to hold his legs out straight and forward and cannot walk. He is otherwise healthy, eats well and is not in pain.
Any suggestions on what to do? I’m very worried about this. Do I give him the best life I can or is it unfair for him not be able to live the normal Rooster life?
