As long as you don’t spray your yard or use any pesticides it’s okay to get small crickets and **** from your yard, but it’s risky, and there’s no guarantee he’ll even eat it.
You’re much better off buying frozen foods from your local fish store.
You should feed him Betta food. It is supplemented with everything they need to stay healthy. If you want to feed him something else on occaision….I recommend you feed bloodworms.
plez dont getting stuff from outside because those stuff mite have diese in them or worst… i perfar you getting store fish food
bettas are very beautiful fish to live with 
so try taking care of them nicely:)
